We are based in Star, Idaho and install floors throughout the Treasure Valley. Boise, Star, Meridian, and Eagle are our primary markets, and we also work in Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Garden City, Middleton, and surrounding communities. If you are outside the Treasure Valley, call us and we'll tell you honestly whether your project is a fit.

How does the free consultation and estimate work?

You request an estimate by phone or through the form on this site. We schedule a visit to measure each room, look at your existing floor and subfloor, discuss material options, and answer questions. You then receive a written, itemized estimate. There is no charge and no obligation for the consultation or the estimate.

What flooring services do you actually provide?

Accepted Answer

Installation of luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, engineered wood, and solid hardwood, plus the flooring preparation that goes with it: removal and disposal of existing flooring, subfloor inspection, moisture testing, flattening and patching, underlayment, transitions, and trim work. Floors are our specialty — we do not take on kitchen, bath, or exterior remodeling.

How long does a flooring installation take?

Timelines depend on square footage, how much prep the subfloor needs, and the material. A single room is often a one- to two-day job; a typical whole-floor replacement commonly runs several days including demo, prep, acclimation, installation, and trim. Your written estimate states the schedule we are planning for your specific project before work begins.

Are permits or inspections required for new flooring?

Straightforward floor covering replacement in an existing home generally does not require a building permit in Treasure Valley jurisdictions. If your project involves structural subfloor repair or other work that does trigger a permit, we tell you during the estimate and coordinate with your local building department rather than proceeding without one.

Yes. Ask during your consultation and we will walk you through examples of installations comparable to your project and discuss references. Photographs used for illustration on this website represent flooring materials and finishes, not specific customer homes.

Do you work on residential or commercial projects?

Accepted Answer

Our work is primarily residential — owner-occupied homes, rentals, and new construction. We do take on light commercial flooring such as offices and small suites. Tell us the space and use and we'll confirm whether it's a good fit before quoting.

What does your warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

Our installation work is backed by a 1-year craftsmanship warranty covering the craftsmanship of the installation itself. Flooring materials carry their own manufacturer warranties, which we help you locate and register. Damage from moisture events, subfloor problems you declined to have corrected, or normal wear is not covered by the craftsmanship warranty.

What is included and excluded in a written estimate?

Estimates itemize material, labor, removal and disposal of the old floor, standard subfloor preparation, underlayment, transitions, and trim where applicable. Common exclusions — called out in writing so nothing is a surprise — include unforeseen structural subfloor repair, asbestos or other hazardous-material abatement, furniture moving beyond what we've agreed to, and appliance disconnection or plumbing work.

How do material selections work?

We walk you through LVP, laminate, engineered, and solid hardwood options for your rooms, moisture conditions, and budget, and bring samples so you can see them in your own light. You choose the product, and your selection is recorded on the estimate so the price you approve matches the material we install.

What happens if something changes mid-project?

Accepted Answer

Any change in scope — added rooms, a different material, or subfloor repair discovered after demolition — is documented as a written change order describing the work and the cost before we continue. We do not add charges to a project without your written approval.

Question 12

Who actually installs the floor — employees or subcontractors?

Accepted Answer

Your installation is performed by our own flooring crew. If a specialty trade is ever needed for part of a project, we tell you in advance who is doing that portion of the work. We remain the single point of responsibility for the job and for the craftsmanship warranty.

Question 13

How should I prepare my home before installation day?

Accepted Answer

Clear breakables, electronics, and closet contents from the rooms being floored, and plan where pets will stay during the work. We'll confirm ahead of time which furniture we're moving and which you're handling, where materials will be staged for acclimation, and which entrance and power outlets the crew will use. Expect noise and dust on demolition and preparation days.
